Isaiah 40 has come up so often throughout this week, in totally unconnected situations. Earlier this week, when my brain felt completely saturated and I was just staring blankly into space, my Bible cover caught my eye --Isaiah 40:31 is embroidered on it. I was able to push on. During fellowship on Friday, Ivan read out Isaiah 40, the entire chapter. Awesome. I decided to read it myself when I got back home. On Sunday, Isaiah 40:29-31 was the passage around which Mimi's amazing testimony was centered. What an encouragement. Then, just now, as I sat here chugging Neo-Citran, popping Tylenol, and feeling sorry for my own sick state, I decided to turn on klove. The first thing that came out of the speakers was Chris Tomlin's "Everlasting God." At the end of the song, a child's voice read out --you guessed it-- Isaiah 40:28-31.
man! Thanks, Father. Although my body doesn't really show it right now, my spirit is rejuvenated. I am refreshed. Forward, march!
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary,
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

we did a study on Isaiah 40 in Bible study at the beginning of the term...and it's been posted on the bulletin board of our Campus for Christ club office this term. I still have no idea who put it up there, but it's been encouraging.
