!!! i hear these on a daily basis!
and i'm beginning to say "how're you going?", "heaps", & "rubbish"! but the one thing i can never understand is the "you're alright" instead of "you're welcome". i just think: "when was i ever not alright? did i do something wrong?"
here's a couple more to add to your list:
1) "dodgy" = "sketchy"
2) "I stuffed up" = "I messed up"
3) some aussies have called our country "canadia". hahaha.
if i come across more, i'll let you know!
I think only Aussies say "you're alright", we Kiwis say "it's alright" or "it's ok".
Speaking of Aussies and Kiwis, I've come up with a better name for Canadians!
"Maples"
hahahahaha
AND I must say we Aussies and Kiwis are doing the Northen Hemisphere good! We let you guys see a different way the English language can be used! So there :p
As for accent, well, we're just special. Haha.
booooooooo........
well, at least that's the name of a mighty tree, not a hairy fruit (or wingless bird, heheh!).
You are special? Are you on sale?
XD
ok ok, that's enough.
Hey you're using "XD"!!!
To clarify, we "are special" not "on special"... the beauty of punctuation... haha...
