incredible

"Tens of thousands of Muslim pilgrims pray inside the Grand Mosque, during the annual Hajj in Mecca, Saudi Arabia on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010." (AP Photo/Hassan Ammar) -- see more pictures here

such devotion ... beautiful, in a terribly sad way.

some of my classmates, including one older man from Jordan and one younger girl who spent the last 2 years in Iraq, have a HUGE heart for seeing Muslims reached with the gospel. i love hearing their perspectives and comments on all sorts of discussions we have. i definitely need to learn from them, and increase my awareness & compassion for this lost group too...

It is sad, because we are so closed to be brothers, only that they believe in an incomplete pictures. They are almost 1 inch closed to the Truth compared to other religions like new age, hinduism, etc, but almost need miracle to turn them back also because they are the closest to the Truth.

Have been learning a lot too cus we were learning different religion at PE Sunday School, and next week, we will be learning Muslim!!! Should share some of these pictures to the kids =D

their life are driven by fear alone, instead of in rest and in trust to the Lord.
That's why they keep on doing their practices in order to keep away God's anger.
I don't know much about their religion, but this is the feeling I get from sharing with a Muslim friend of mine. :(

YES - that is exactly the issue that keeps coming up, the major difference. The God presented in the Qu'ran is not interested in a personal loving relationship with them... his followers are simply trying hard to get in his "good books." And even in the end, they cannot be sure...maybe Allah will just choose to block them from Paradise anyway. Or maybe the worst sinners will be allowed in; it's all up to Allah.

The Muslims I have talked to who are now Christians all say that this different view of God is a main reason why they turned instead to trust in the Bible's teachings instead of Islam. Grace & mercy & freedom in Christ ... beautiful realities.

you should definitely show some of these pictures to your class! especially cuz they're so recent.
