Isn't it funny how we are never satisfied with one thing for long, no matter how good it is at first. I remember being so excited to discover xanga, then getting tired of it pretty fast, then enjoying the goodness of lj, then wanting to move past that too...how long until this one loses its attractiveness as well, or until something "better" comes along?
Over the course of my short life, I have never found something that has kept me constantly satisfied ever since the moment I discovered it. Something better keeps coming out, or it gets more burdensome than exciting, or some part breaks down. A pretty constistent pattern in all man-made/man-powered things, I guess.
But thank goodness that is not the whole picture of my life...thank goodness that Someone has found ME, and allowed me to respond in kind; Someone whom no one can better; Someone who gets more exciting the longer I know Him; Someone who never fails me and catches me when I break down.
Jesus, my first & best love, may whatever I share here act as a small but significant window of light in this web of darkness.
