life's potpourri

oops, sorry for keeping up the suspense for so long. i can't believe so many of you read it without me knowing. :P well, for those of you who have been suffering the pain of chewed-down nails from the dramatic cliff-hanger ending of my previous post (kinda like the Grey's Anatomy/Sens-Sabres night don't you think?) ---- the concert was AWESOME!!! Mr. Stiff (see right) was just fine and he sang beautifully ("You Are My Heart's Delight"... *swoon!* just kidding...it's on youtube but only in German). did he get sick after the performances? i dunno. meh.

hehehe, no i don't mean that. i hope he was ok!

Good shot of the dancers...i think they were the most stunning. my mom and dad each got dragged away by a professional dancer during separate waltzes :D

"reading" week found me running around montreal, ottawa, toronto, then back to kingston...woohoo! it was good times -- valuable times -- belt-expanding times -- with dear friends & family. i try never to take them or those times for granted. over the past week i also felt the frailty of life & of the human spirit ... we can never know, really ... but i'm glad i don't have to worry about things i can't control.

also, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA was just ..... BRILLIANT!!! wow, everything was JUST as i expected & hoped for. no, better! best of all.....CHRISTINE WASN'T BLONDE!!! yessssss. (nothing against blondes, but Christine simply MUST be brunette. my friend told me that she was a blonde the time she went to see it, and it ruined her enjoyment of said classic :S) So if you are planning on seeing it, by all means, go!! the cheapest seats are actually great for the view, you just have to get over the fact that they are fold-up chairs! an excellent performance awaits.

finally, may i just say that GOD has been SO faithful as the devoted Watchman over my life...He arranges everything perfectly. after weeks of anticipation, the outline of my summer is solidifying at last. and it looks exciting. thank you Father for the doors you close and the windows you open!
